Whats New From Ducktail Lures LLC
In 2009 we are pleased to introduce our newest topwater the SURFACE STORM!
We have been working on this bait for many years, and now it is ready for the musky hunter looking for a unique trophy topwater. Like our ThunderDuck, it features tow counter rotating prop heads up front. These are followed by a trailer of StarFlash Silicone, over feather and tinsel, so you get big noise, great hooking from the bucktail style trailer, and a large 11" profile to appeal to BIG Esox. It's loud, easy to fishat a variety of speeds, and looks every bit like a small critter just waiting to be eaten! Coming soon to on-line ordering or check out one of our many fine dealers.
Also new for 2009, is a big fish bucktail, which initially we will be offering only on-line through our site. The DOUBLE DUCKTAIL is our answer to many of the difficulites, with the #10 double craze. It features a big profile, and two blades, a #9 fluted blade following a #8 fluted. These baldes provide plenty of vibration, and thump, yet are much easier to fish al day fast or slow, without burning out your or your equipment. It will be available soon on our web site, in several bucktail and silicone skirted colors. You're sure to love this big fish tail.
The ThunderDuck is back and improved for 2009! We have changed to blade cupping to give more "sound and pluck" at all speeds. We have improved the way the head props and hardware are affixed, to ensure they stay in place and in tune when that big one is in the net!
Welcome to Ducktail Lures!
Hello, I'm Jim Korducki, the owner and creator of Ducktail Lures.
Ducktail Lures are made in Merrill, Wisconsin, the gateway to "Wisconsin's Musky Country". These lures have been designed for "musky fanatics" who want to get the most out of their time on the water! I have been crafting my own fishing lures since age 9. Along the way, as I grew as an angler, I got into musky fishing and subsequently began making my own musky lures.
Over the years I have refined and improved my baits, seeking to make them better than the lures currently available. I also began to make lures which provided features not currently available in other baits, primarily lures that are virtually weedless yet excellent hooking baits. While I feel we have done this in our current line of lures, we will not rest.
We will continue to field test, and refine our current lures and develop new offerings. We are currently working on a jerkbait, several topwater baits and musky jigs and plastics. The new lures, which we've been testing and refining for 2-3 years, will not be marketed until we feel they are the best, and fill a need in the market!
